hello, thanks for your query, tonsillectomy is same in both adults or children, complications do develop in both the groups, in adults as smoking,hypertension, asthma, cardiac disease, bleeding disorders, risk factors can complicate in adults. good preanesthtic check up, pre op investigations , proper Bp control can minimize the complications and ease the surgeon and patient. hope I have answeed your query. all the best. take care.
