Why My 2 Year Old Does Not Speak?

My Daughter is 2 yrs old.She does not speak yet. She guggles some words but she never calls us mom or dad, she makes her understand his needs by signs and calls us by saying ooon etc.She had not started eating solid foods and she even does not feel hungry. We can only make her eat semi solids etc. by keeping hr busy in playing. I am very tensed about her. What should i do.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hello. I just read through your question. I agree that the lack of speech is a problem. It is possible that her not eating solids could be related. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact diagnosis without more history (ie: birth history, illnesses, medications, developmental history, etc..) This is an issue, however, that needs to be taken care of now and not later. The earlier it is addressed, the better the chance of successfully alleviating the problem. I recommend you consult with your doctor about this so this can be dealt with appropriately and efficiently.
