Why Should I Take Increased Dosage Of Lisinospril?

I am a 48 year old woman and was hospitalized for heart failure four months ago, since then I have been on different meds to control my blood pressure which caused the problem. On my last visit two weeks ago my doctor said my heart was almost back to normal but he doubled the dosage of lisinopril to 40 mg instead of twenty. I wanted to know if he saw improvement why did he double the dosage. two weeks ago

Dear madam, good to know that you are recovering ... welcome to HCM.... by the way now that you recovered still your blood pressure must kept under control... or else there are lots of complications with uncontrolled BP. licinopril an excellent ACE inhibitor... very good antihypertensive drug. many people with hypertension (90%) we wont know the cause just we put them on lifestyle changes and drugs ... controlling BP is important ... This drug lisinopril also protects your kidneys ... so need not worry about the dose you may have some dry cough as it is the common side effect other wise it is a safe and very good drug.. mant people without complications they will be on 2-3 drugs in that way you are safe and be happy... thank you ...
