Why Should I Undergo Several Ultrasound Tests?

When I was 18weeks pregnant I had an ultrasound a few days later the Dr office called me back and told me they had to do a follow up ultrasound on the face and heart. They said nothing is wrong they just anted better pictures so I went in yesterday I just got a call saying the want another follow up ultrasound on the heart with a different Dr. could something be wrong but they do not want to tell me. And I noticed the tech but in the screen multiple and the Dr I am going to go see specializes in multiple pregnancies. I m just worried there s something wrong.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

It is patient-doctor ethics to always inform the patient or their kin about anything observed and so youe doctor would have by now informed you if anything were abnormal. There are a number of scans required during pregnancy to make sure all goes well. If at all you are being referred to a doctor who specializes in multiple pregnancies, may be you are expecting twins.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
