Why There Is A Feeling Of Occasional Pulling Inside? Had Right Hemi-colectomy Years Ago

I have a pulling inside and had a right hemi-colectomy 6 years ago - it was occasional but has been present almost every day for the past two weeks, especially when I stand for any length of time - would the fact that I hadn't been on my treadmill much for a few weeks and then started up again in the past two weeks be the cause?

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Pulling inside can be caused by adhesions in the abdominal body which appear after every surgery. It may happen if adhesion is attached to the abdominal wall.
Scar itself can also give such feeling especially when physical activity is increased. Its because scar tissue is hard and less elastic.
Hernia in the scar is possible - you should be able to palpate soft lump in this area.

As long as you do not have bloating, stool problems, blood in stool, abdominal pain, weight loss, vomiting, nothing wrong is happening. And unfortunately there is not much can be done with the pulling feeling.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
