Why Was I Given Amoxicillin And Misoprostol Given To Me If They Have Done Surgical Abortion?

I had an abortion today and I was under the impression that it was a surgical abortion. Since I have been home I looked at the medication they gave me one; prescription for amoxicillin which I am familiar with, the other is misoprostol and I am reading that is for a medical abortion. Why do they have me taking this if the pregnancy was terminated?

Hi,
In early pregnancy they give tablet for abortion.
In early pregnancy surgical intervention should be avoided as surgery has its own complications.
