I got out of the shower and once I got dressed my girlfriend noticed that there was blood on my pants. When I took my pants off I noticed there was blood coming from my ball sack. I didn't shave or anything so it's not an actually cut and now I can't get it to stop bleeding. It's not bleeding a lot but it still won't stop. What can I do to stop the bleeding?
Hi. Thanks for your query and an elucidate history. The cause of such a bleeding from the scrotal sac would have been due to falling of a small scab that you would have acquired inadvertently by scratching sometimes back. Since the scrotal skin has a very good blood supply, this bleeds frivolously. Put a liquid povidone iodine and tincture if you have and put a pressure for minutes and the bleeding will stop. I hope you are not on any blood thinner medicines. If the bleeding does not stop or if you taking some medicines, go to ER and get a stitch and blood coagulation profile checked.
