Why Would A Circumcised Child Rub His Genitals Against Wall Or Other Objects?
Dear Sir/Madam,
My son is 6 n hlf yrs old.he had undergone circumsition at the age of 1 and hlf.after 5 years we hav noticed he is doing some actions that made us upset.he will rub his genital parts on de floor or sometimes while standing will rub on chair or bed.we hav scolded many times and also punished him.we thought he had stopped doing that.but now he is doing the same thing.when asked he says it gives him pleasure n hence he is doing.he is very sensitive too..plz help us.im scared of taking him to doctors as I think my family members will know.

I understand your concern about your child.
This is not a disease .
It is more or less physiological.
Do not scold or punish him.
At that age they are more particular of doing things which you object.
Ignore even if you observe him doing so
Try to engage him most of the time.
See that he is in company of his peers or others like relatives most of the time.
See that he will not remain alone .
Once he is engaged in some other work in which he is interested gradually he forgets this habit.
