General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The amoebiasis is not the cause of constipation.
* It is the side effect of the entroquinol which has hampered the intestine flora homeostasis and causing constipation.
* There will be multi modality approach to cure this as:
- Plenty of liquids
- High fiber diet
- Bulk forming laxatives
- Probiotics
- Dietary measures to avoid spices, dairy fat, junk foods
- Regular exercises
* Diagnostic colonoscopy as per the case progress and further need.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
