will Amoxicillin and doxycycline together cure a stubborn inner ear infection, and polymyxin sulfate and trimethorpin ear drops , whats the maximum days on both oral and ear drops to be taken of days, also what resukts will happen if Im allergic to both amoxicillin and sulfate.....Heelp
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. Amoxicillin with Doxycycline and Polymyxin and Trimethoprim are the antibiotics which are used to treat ear infections. The course of these antibiotics is from 5 days to 7 days, sometimes extending to 10 days, depending on the severity and nature of the infection. If you are allergic to Amoxicillin, you could replace it with another group of broad spectrum antibiotic like Ciprofloxacin. Kindly follow the advise as given by your treating doctor.
