Will Duolution L Affect Pituitary And Pregnancy?

Hello, I had a surgey of macro adenoma pitutiary an year ago. Am facing irrugular periods and found overian cysts too. My doctor priscribed Duoluton L. Will it affect the pitutiary again? And am married but no child, will this medicine will affect my pregnency?

Hi

Duoluton L is a combined oral contraceptive used to prevent pregnancy and regularise irregular periods.

This drug will not affect pituitary gland or the macroadenoma that you were surgically treated.Your irregular period will be regularised in the next few cycles.

During the period of consuming Duoluton L,you may not conceive since the drug is a contraceptive.You need to wait for a month after stopping the drug and after which you can try for pregnancy.
