Will Fortiplex, Delisprin And Gestofit Cause Any Problem During Pregnancy?
Hello doctor I am 29 years old and this is my 3rd child in 18 months 2 of them I need to abortion because they don t have heart beat and now I am 8 weeks pregnant and my weight is 100kg and doctor prescribed me following medicine folic acid twice a day, fortiplex twice a day, delisprin twice a day and Gestofit 200 mg 3 times a day so doctor want to know whether this medicine will create any problems in this pregnancy. Thank you Richa
Folic acid and fortiplex are blood-building drugs and are safe for use in pregnancy. Gestofit is used to maintain pregnancy in a woman who has had recurrent miscarriages and is safe for use in pregnancy.
However, there is express contraindication to the use of delisprin only in the last three months of pregnancy because of possible adverse effects to the baby. However in the first 3 months 8 weeks, delisprin may increase risks of miscarriages and It is only prescribed if its benefits outweigh the risks.
Therefore I wouldn't advise on taking delisprin, as there are alternatives such as acetaminophen.
Kindly review my concerns with your doctor.
i hope i have answered your question.
best wishes.
