Will I Be Able To Work Out In Gym After Surgery For Detached Retina?

Hi I m 36 yr old male who is four weeks post op for detached retina. Had a vitrectomy with laser and gas bubble. I am myopic and a negative six prescription. My other eye had tears in retina but it didn t detach and was layered in office. Will I ever be able to work out in the gym again? Also I am a 10 year police officer and worried about the final vision in the op eye and future detachments from assaults.

Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
Since you have underwent surgery gir retinal detachment you need to avoid heavy physical activity and work out in gym.
Once the retina settles depending on the condition you can start gym later.

Thank you
