Will Periosteal Reaction Lead To Cancer?

I was just told by Radiologist I have Periosteal Reaction, percentage wise how often is it cancer? I barely made it home from Radiology before my Dr. called saying he had set up an appt with an ortho Dr. Usually you wait some time before you can get in.
