Will A Corrective Surgery Help Correct The Eye Sight Problems Regarding Powers?
Hi i m 25 yrs old ,and working in IT company having problems in my eye sight. i started wearing specs 8yrs back and at that time my power was 0.75 spherical. i used to change my specs frequently. every time when i change my specs i used to test my eyesight. last time around 1yr back i consulted a doctor, he said my eyes got dried and gave me some eye drops(i don t remember the name). at that time my power was 0.5 spherical and 0.75 cylindrical. Finally i got bored with all these teting and m not wearing specs for over 1yr. i ve planned to perform corrective surgery. Is that a good idea? Which hospital is the reliable and trustworthy one? please suggest..Awaiting your reply badly..
In the last 8 years your refractive status has remained the same more or less. Your problems are more to do with dry eyes than anything else. If you undergo lasik surgery chances are that you may worsen the dry eyes and might even be left with a small refractive error which again might require you to wear glasses. It is better to wear glasses and use lubricating eye drops regularly. However the final decision is yours regarding lasik.
