Will An Umbilical Graft Help With Ulcer Surface Healing?

I have been undergoing treatment for pseudomonas in my left eye for two months with the ulcer now reduced by 1/3. The surface healing hasn't progressed as it should. I am planning an umbellical graft to help its healing. What are the prospects of total success?

Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I reviewed your history. It seems from the history that you are having Pseudomonas corneal ulcer and has become non healing ulcer now.
You need to undergo evaluation to find out the causes for non healing of the corneal ulcer. The common causes for non healing of a corneal ulcer are persistence of infection, local predisposing conditions like chronic dacryocystitis or chronic blepharitis, systemic conditions like diabetes, decreased immunity....

Amniotic membrane graft taken from umblical cord is better option if it is only surface healing problem. It works quiet good in these surface healing problems.

Hence do consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.

Thank you
