Will Arrhythmia From Dipping Tobacco Go Away If I Quit?
Will arrhythmia from dipping tobacco go away if i quit? I took up dipping about a month ago, and about three days ago started having palpitations. I hav nt had ANY tobacco since. Palpitations are slowing in frequency, but I still feel them a few times a day. I have never had heart problems before. (Age: 37)
Cannot say in your particular case: tthere is the question of what the particular arrhythmia is: some of them are congenital some from heart disease and most minor ones are there regardless BUT increase markedly with other factors such as nicotine and caffeine and go way lower when these are lowered.
The nicotine goes out of one's system somewhat in one day. This poses OTHER stresses onto the heart but not ones that cause serious arrhythmia. When one stops nicotine, there are changes from it that can be pretty dramatic in the first 24 hrs and this can show if the arrhythmia will decrease from quitting.
