Will Cortal Have Side Effects On Baby If Taken During Pregnancy?
Hi.I m 3months pregnant now I m taking cortal . when I found out that I m pregnant but it doesn t work so I stop taking does medicine in my 3months of pregnancy.. My question is there s gonna be bad effect on my baby when she/he born...do i have a chance that my child will not gonna be normal because of does drug???
hello! Cortal is a trade name for aspirin. Aspirin is usually not recomended to be used during pregnancy, and should be avoided during the third trimester, because of the cardiovascular effects in the fetus (will be problems with the closure of ductus arteriosus). The use of aspirin in low doses (60mg per day) is being studied and promoted in women that are at high risk of developing eclampsia. Anyway, since there are not any fetal abnormalities or pregnancy disorders reported connected directly to the use of aspirin during the first trimester (except bleeding in high doses), and if you don't have any problem until now, it's probable that you and your baby are safe. I hope i have been of help
