Will Falling Into Cold Water Affect 73 Year Old's Health?

My 73 year old father fell into very cold water earlier today. He managed to swim back to shore and drove home in his wet clothes. He took off his clothes and took a warm shower as soon as he could but I am worried that me might get sick from this???

I do not thin he would get sick from this if he hasn't develop any signs of illness up to this point. I will suggest that you put an eye on him jus in case any abnormal signs or symptoms set in so that you can seek immediate medical attention. It is not advisable for elderly or individuals to go swimming all by themselves. Let them always be accompanied for security purposes.
