Will Flue And Typhoid Prevention Shots Cause Any Issues?

I had a hepatitis A shot five months ago before going to Mexico. Also a typhoid shot. And a flu shot. I got pretty sick for awhile. They want me to get the second shot in July. I don t want to because I am afraid I will get sick again, and I am not traveling much any more. I am 78. I had Valley Fever last summer and was on fluconazole for three months. I know they will be upset if I don t get this second hep A shot. What should I do?

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

These shots generally cause no symptoms beyond the discomfort associated with a needle prick like swelling, pains and maybe feverish feeling. I may want to think these symptoms were more of a coincidence than caused by this vaccine as they are highly tolerated in the general population. In all, the advantages taking these vaccines are enormous that I will encourage you to. I am not sure you would have these similar terrible feeling again.
