Will Hypoechoic Myometrial Affect Pregnancy?

I am 30years old and been 16weeks pregnant diagnosed with hypoechoic myometerial and it mass sen posterior,it measures about 4.5cm.My question is will it affect my pregnancy and is it possible to have vaginal delivery.Also doctor what Ian the cause and possibl treatment.

hi In all likelihood what you are having is post wall fibroid. it's not a very small fibroid so yes it can effect the pregnancy. you have to be cautious as it can result in low lying placenta or breech presentation or preterm delivery.it would have been existing before the pregnancy but just increased in pregnancy under influence of pregnancy hormones and got diagnosed on ultrasound . you should take tab duphaston 10 mg twice a day till 37 weeks as a precaution to prevent preterm delivery . all the best take care.
