Will It Be Safe To Take Ammox For Tonsilitis?

I went to the ER monday and they diagnosed me with tonsilitis...i've been on ammox since monday but the past few days i've been having stomach pains...usually when i drink or eat but not always...I don't have innsurance and the ER always seems to be quick to diagnose things...I was nauscious and had a loss of appetite for about 2 weeks thats why i went to ER in the first place...only reason i thought something like strep through was bc my tonsils were enlarged. Could there be something else or is this a normal reaction to tonsilitis?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

No this is not a normal reaction to tonsils and you may not actually be having a tonsil infection, however since i have not examined you , I cannot tell you for sure. I would like you to meet your doctor once again , he will examine you and guide you further. You seem to be having a stomach infection or acidity and amox will not help.

Thanks
