Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic
You have developed an Irritant Contact Dermatitis/ ICD.
ICD develops immediately at the site of application. Redness and burning sensation being part of the dermatitis.
If you were at my clinic I would have suggested you to use a moderately potent
topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate 0.05%, twice daily at the affected site.
Steroids are anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive and would therefore help resolve the dermatitis.
Topical steroids are prescription drugs, therefore, I suggest you to visit a
dermatologist for the needful.
Rather than trying
home remedies you should take specific antiacne treatment from a skin specialist.
Topical antiacne treatment mainly revolves around 3 categories: topical antibacterials like clindamycin, nadifloxacin; topical
benzoyl peroxide and topical retinoid like adapalene.
If your acne is Inflammatory i.e red, painful, pustular type of acne, your dermatologist might also contemplate starting you on
Oral antibiotics for a few weeks.
