Will Keflex Heal Redness And Itching Caused Due To Urinary Tract Infection?

Hi, I was on a course of keflex for two weeks for a UTI. About a week into it, I developed a red itchiness around the vaginal/anal area. I thought it was the start of a yeast infection due to the mess. Now I'm noticing that the skin is peeling in the same area. It also continues to be red and itchy. Could this be a reaction to the meds? What is it? Thank you!

I am so sorry to hear about this redness and itching around the vaginal. This is not a possible side effect of Keflex. I will actually suggest that you get evaluated and treated for this. It may be a fungal infection or something else. A careful examination would reveal the cause and guide the treatment plan.
