Will Laser Hair Removal Lead To Increased Risk Of Scleroderma That Runs In The Family?

There is Scleroderma in my family, and although I ve tested positive on an ANA test, I don t have any symptoms apart from the ones that overlap with Fibromyalgia, which I was diagnosed with. I want to get Laser Hair removal, but am worried that perhaps it will cause skin issues. But for all I know it may have a positive effect? I really want to remove the hair and have IPL.

Hello,

LASER or any form of hair removal does not cause exacerbation of scleroderma. You can safely proceed with LASER.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
