Will Macrobid Affect The Results Of The Culture?
I have chronic UTI s and have been taking 1 macrobid per day to prevent any further infection but believe I have one again and decided since I had some elmiron to take a couple of these to see if it helped. Doesn t appear to have helped so am going to get a urine culture tomorrow. Will elmiron affect the results of the culture? Also will macrobid affect the results of the culture?

Probably your self-treatment is ill advised. After starting antibiotics, culture is usually avoided, unless advised by your doctor.you need to have an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis, renal function tests and blood sugar. your age is not mentioned.Also,if you're on any other medication.
