Hello we bought an over the counter distiller the week before christmas and have been drinking and cooking only with since then ive been doing some research online and am worried that my two young children might become mineral deficient .Saying that they have really good diets and i no that most vitamins and minerals come from that but i dont now if by cooking with distilled water is removing all of them to, I would be grateful for any advise
Hello, Using Distilled water regularly in cooking and drinking is not advisable bcz of some reasons like:
Firstly, Distilled water is free of dissolved minerals and has special property of actively absorbing toxic substances from the body and eliminate them. So, ocassionally it may be fine.
The more distilled water a person drinks ...the higher the body acidity becomes...
On cooking with distilled water, the food tends to loose all its minerals.
Ideal Water for Humans is Slightly alkaline water with Ca, Mg minerals in it.
So, unless you are in an area where the water supply is totally impure with all other chemicals in it...distilled water for daily use is not advised. Hope it helps..
