Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Thanks for writing.
I am Dr.Saddiq-ul-Abidin. I have read your question completely, I understand your concern and will try to help you in best way possible.
Height is determined by many factors:
1) You genetics:
If your parents are tall you have more chances of being tall if they aren't tall you have lesser chances of being tall.
2)Your life style:
If you aren't much involved in sports, lead a sedentary life style, and
obese , your height is less likely to reach it's potential.
3)Eating habits:
It greatly depends upon your eating habits too if you take a balanced diet full of
vitamins,
proteins , minerals and carbs , you are more likely to grow compared to a person who is not eating well.
4) Your hormones:
Your hormones need to be in balance.
Here I would like to mention that there is NO evidence that going to gym causes stunted height, it's a misconception , infact research shows that kids who are involved in physical activity since childhood lie sports and
weight training have better developed bones and are more better drown mentally and physically.
In males gym increases
testosterone and growth which makes males grow more,so I would suggest you not to think that gym might have caused any stopage in your growth.
If your parents are tall there is every possibility that you will reach 6 feet you will grow till the age of 20, but if your parents are average height you are more likely to grow average height.
I would suggest you to keep a healthy life style, eat a balanced diet maintain a good weight and this way you can reach your potential height easily and conveniently.
I hope this answered your question. If you have more queries I am happy to answer.Otherwise rate and close the discussion
Regrads.
