Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello there - I ve been diagnosed with multiple exotosis when I was three years old. I m 25 now,had 3 excisions so far and almost all of the osteochondromas i had once are not visible now.Now does that mean that they re gone or is it just the flesh that covered them.I can t feel them though and will there be any future complications - as of now I feel great and I m happy that the osteochondromas are gone.
Osteochondroma is just bone growths with very little chances of recurrence. If we excised it they rarely came back at the same place.
However, they can come at different places, so for now just forgot your worries and enjoy life as it is also not necessary to excise all growths until they cause any symptom.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Jaideep Gaver, Orthopaedic Surgeon
