Will Retching In The Morning Due To Smoke Affect Health?
Hi I have recently started retching in the mornings when i am just trying to get rid of the phlegm in my throat. I do smoke which could be the source of the phlegm. I am quite a thin person anyway which I hate. Will this affect my body in any way even though there is never any food that comes out?
Excessive forceful retching can cause damage to the food pipe. Apart from this, there is no other reason to worry if you do not vomit out any fluids or food. If fluids are lost, then you may end up getting dehydrated. In my opinion, rather than retching, please see a doctor and get yourself treated.
Best wishes.
