Will Rock Salt Compensate For Salt Less Diet At Early Pregnancy?
Am now at 27 and pregnent. My lmp is 2nd of jan.Now in the prev week's prenatal checkup my doc said that am having a high bp of 150/80 and adviced to have a less salt diet and prescribed alphadopha twice a day.Is the situation much danger? Now i completely avoided dietry salt but will it affect my sodium consumption? Is it oky with rock salt?
Sodium and chloride are the components of the salt that you have been told to avoid. The doctor advised you on less salt because salt will cause water to be retained in you body and increase your hypertension. Rock Salt is still salt (sodium chloride) so you are better off reducing all forms of salt.
