Will Switching From Murad To Exposed Skin Care Help In Treating Pimples?

Hi. I ve been using Murad for a couple months, and all it does is stop pimples and not clean up what the others left behind. Recently, I went to a dermatologist and they prescribed me Tretinoin and Finacea. (About 1 month ago). For a while it worked, but now my skin seems to be breaking out. I am thinking of switching murad to Exposed Skin Care and keeping up with the prescribed creams. Is it worth the switch? Is there anything else I should do? Please help. I m sick and tired of my acne and being insecure everyday. 15/F/Fair Skin

From the description of you problem, it seems that you are having redness and dryness due to tretinoin cream. It is the common complication after use of tretinoin formulations. All you can do is to reduce the time of contact with tretinoin and gradually increase the time. You can also apply it twice or thrice a week. Night application is only advisable. You can continue with finacea. After all this if symptoms dont subside the stop tretinoin and continue with finacea. No need to change medications. For you this is the best treatment.
