Will Switching From Sprintec To Mononessa Cause Any Side Effects?
I currently tale sprintec 28, but all of my local pharmacies do not sell this anymore and have switched to mononessa. I was told that it is the generic version of aprinted. Would the change in meds cause any possible change or negative side effects?

Internal Medicine Specialist, Dr. Ivo Ditah's Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
There would be no side effects. They are all oral contraceptive agents. Though sold under different brand names, they do the same work and have very similar if not identical side effects profile. There should be no fear in switching. However, should you have any funny feeling after switching, report to your doctor for evaluation and adjustments.
I hope this helps. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
