Will T-minic Help With Cough And Stuffy/blocked Nose?
my son is suffering from cough and stuffy/blocked nose for more then a month.hid padia ...prescribed an antibiotic and ambroxol but even after finishing the course,it has not cure.so m thinking of giving t-minic as it was suggested by one of my friend who had the same problem with her son.should i give him t-minic/
Hi, T-minic contains antihistaminic with nasal decongestant. Allergic cough may responds to antihistaminics but usually is treated with a mucolytic and bronchodilator if required. Anti histaminics if used are for short duration only as these tend to dry up secretions. So, if chest on auscultation shows some congestion and wheezing, mucolytic with bronchodilator is usually used. Antihistaminic for few days may suppress the irritation and tickling of throat and thus can give relief in cough because of that. So, if the child is very young, don't give any medicine yourself. If an older child, you can give T-minic for 2-3 days if you feel like. Regards
