Will Taking Cortison Tablets During Pregnancy Cause Any Harm To The Baby?

Hallo, Dear Doctor, My wife is pregnancy for 30 weeks. Unfortunately, I have to use cortison medicine becuase of her ear problem (250mg/day, 3 days). Now, I am worring about the negative effects of it on the baby. How about its situation? Thanks, Yours Kou

I understand your concerns.

No need to worry so much. Cortisone has not been proven to be harmful to the baby especially when used after the first 3 months of pregnancy.
There might exist a risk but it has not been proven.
So it is unlikely for the baby to be harmed as a result of the treatment she took.
