Will The Delayed Period Be Due To Daphane Pills?
hello..i would like to asked if its normal that my menstrual period suddenly stopped after taking Daphne pills last moth..supposedly,Im going to have my next period on the 2nd week of Sept. but til now I dont have my period..so Ive done self pregnacy test last Sept 26 and it turned out to negative...Im wondering now what is goin on..

Daphne pill contains lynestrenol which is used to prevent unwanted pregnancies from unprotected sexual intercourses. Daphne pill only contains low doses of a progestin similar to woman's natural hormone, progesterone. It works by disrupting menstrual period along with thickening cervical mucus. Daphne is a progesterone only pill that is associated with menstrual abnormalities or irregularities and amenorrhea. Absence of menstruation is known as amenorrhea.
As your birth control pill contains hormones, so the hormones can stop ovulation each month. Release of an egg from ovary is known as ovulation. You should allow up to 3 months for your menstrual period to restore itself. If it bothers you, then you should consult your gynecologist immediately for medical help. Your gynecologist may change to a regular birth control pill.
