Will The Depression On The Nose Bridge Of A Baby That Happened After Hitting The Wooden Bed Disappear Later In Life?
My 10 month old son hit the bridge of his nose on the edge of our (wooden) bed. Right after hitting his nose, it became swollen and bruised. After an hour, the swelling subsided. We also brought him to the emergency room to have an xray. The xray showed no fractures. The swelling continued to subside; the bruise faded. Now, he is left with a horizontal line across his nose bridge which becomed depressed when he laughs a lot or cries. Will that depression disappear? I think thay depressed line was caused by the impact. Also, right above the depressed line is a tiny bump? Will the tiny bump disappear?
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum. As you describe, it is due to the impact ,and the above bruise may be due to the swelling which is still there. Once the internal infection is under control, and the inflammation is controlled, he will be fine. I usually prescribe to my patient with such an injury, a multivitamin drops to have a recovery of the tissues. Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
