Will The Hydrochloric Acid In The Stomach Break An Ingested Prune Pit?
I swallowed a prune pit this morning. It seemed to slide down effortlessly, and did not get caught in the throat or esophagus. Can there be a problem further down in the small or large intestine? Will the hydrochloric acid in the stomach break it down, or will it come all the way to the colon whole, and get eliminated with a bowel movement?Thank you very much.Rick Kuethe YYYY@YYYY

Hydrochloric acid won't break down the prune pit, it will come all the way to the colon whole as it is and it will be eliminated with a bowel movement.
No problem for small or large intestines this time.
However, do not make a habit to swallow prune pits.
