Will The Large Indentation On My Buttocks From A Bruise Following A Fall Fade Away With Time?

I fell down the stairs a couple weeks ago, and kind of skidded down them on my buttocks. I got a huge bruise across my left hip and buttock, like 10 inches long two inches wide in the shape of a smile, the bruise is completely healed and there is only pain if I apply pressure. However, where the bruise was I now have a large indentation. Its very and noticeable, will this go away?'??

Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

It will improve with time. It can take a few weeks to months for an area to completely return to normal after trauma.

It will be difficult to predict exactly when it will resolve completely. If after a few months there is still a significant difference that is bothering you, then you may want to consult your doctor.

I hope this helps
