Will The Mark Due To Burn On Lip While Smoking Cigarette Be Permanent?
Hi there. I quit smoking a few days ago due to a burn on my lip which was caused by a cigarette I lit. This incident happened a month ago, although the mark is still on my lip. Do you think this mark would be permanent? Permanent meaning until the day I die. Thanks.

Hello, Welcome to HCM, Smoking will leads to discoloration of lips.If you quit smoking, your lips may not return to their previous color, but over a period of time the skin will become lighten. Some of the creams like hydroquinone or a topical retinoid can be applied over the lips which helps to lightening the skin of the lip. These creams requires prescription from your dermatologist. Thank you.
