Will The Rocephin Injection Get Rid Of The Recurring UTI's?

Tomorrow I will be receiving a Rocephin injection (3 total over three days)for recurring UTI's. I have been on aprox 6 different antibiotics since May. The last culture came back yesterday and the doctor says that the bacteria i have is resistant to PO meds. Im worried that this round of injections wont work either. Ive been sick for so long Im wearing down!!

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. If the bacteria are sensitive to rocephin, it should work and help in treating urinary tract infection at present.
2. However, recurrent urinary tract infection raises the possibility of urinary tract abnormalities.
3. Pyelogram will help in evaluation of any tract abnormalities. Recurrent urinary tract infection risks the possibility of renal infection and severe damage of the urinary tract.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
