Will The Yeast Infection Effect The Baby And The Mother?

I had yeast infection say in 2007 for which i was treated with Forcan 150 tabs, which i took for 4 weeks. After which i never had any issues, where as in 2011 i had high uric acid levels, 10.5, and was treated for Gaut. I am healthy and never had any signs of STD, but then now since am married, wanna be completely sure before i get sexually active. this has been bothering me for a while and i wanted to take up a complete STD test for my peace of mind and wanted to know where can i get the check up done in and around Indiranagar, Bangalore, India and please let me know if i can have intercourse with my wife, if i still have yeast infection and will that effect the baby and the Mother?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
High uric acid levels have nothing to with STD and not harm in any way your wife.
Regarding Yeast infection you had an adequate course of medicine. But there is no guarantee that it wouldn't recur in future. Even without an extramarital contact one could have an yeast infection once again due to various reasons like partner has yeast, prolonged antibiotic therapy, steroids, other immuno-suppressive drugs, wife has any hormone problems or on oral contraceptives diabetes mallitus of either partner. It can be treated easily. Any good quality of laboratories can have tests for STD as a panel of tests also.
