i am 83 yrs old and a heart patient. i am taking nitromint, renitec, zestral and adalat. a new drug with name of theograde and feeling dizziness. i have no respiratory symptoms or problems. i dont know why my doctor added this medicine. before taking this medicine i was having low pulse rate but now my pulse rate is very fast.
Hi, This is a theophylline and can be prescribed in heart failure. One of the commoner side-effects is a fast heart rate. This may be the cause of your dizziness. I suggest you see your doctor who may wish to either reduce the dose of prescribe alternative medication. Regards, Dr K A Pottinger, MBChB FRCA
