Bulky uterus refers to thickened uterine wall and such condition is common in post pregnant women and peri-menopausal women. These changes can occur due to hormonal imbalance. Ovarian cyst, tumors of uterus can also cause bulky uterus. These conditions should be treated to relieve the symptoms.
In asymptomatic women, treatment may not be necessary. But monitoring and evaluation of pelvic ultrasound should be done every 6 months to 1 year.
