Will There Be Any Problem With The Excessive Monocef Dosage For Typhoid?
Hi, I am 28 years old. First, I had fever of two to three days and after that I got diagnosed that it is typhoid. Initially, I got three Monocef 1 g through IV. After that, I switched to another doctor and he again started me on Monocef 1 g twice a day. Will there be any problem with excessive Monocef dose.
Welcome and thanks for your query. The recommended dose of Monocef ( Ceftriaxone ) is 1-2 gm twice a day for 7 - 10days As I understand you are not on any excess dose. So relax and complete your treatment as inadequate treatment can lead to relapse of Typhoid.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
