Will There Be Any Side Effects Of Taking Over Dosage Of Microgynon?

hey, i ve been taking Microgynon 30 for a while now and i never miss a pill, but the other day i could not find my pill pack and therefore took one pill from an old pack. so last night, being back on my old pack i panicked as i thought i missed one, when in fact i didn t, and took two at the same time. i don t feel ill or anything a day later, but will this have any effects still and will i still be protected?

Hi,

If you have taken an extra pill of Microgynon 30 by mistake, then continue taking the next doses as usual. It should not cause any symptom. Do not concern yourself. Your protection against pregnancy will be as usual. However, if you have taken several extra pills, then symptoms of feeling sick, vomiting or some vaginal bleeding may be there, which should go on its own and you do not need any medical consultation unless the symptoms are severe.
