Hello and welcome to HCM,
I am Dr Nilajkumar a consultant gynecologist and I will be helping you in your queries.
It is indeed unfortunate and I understand your problem. However the answer is that it is not possible to generalize this issue. Some women may have no pain and enjoy a normal sexual life while the others may not tolerate it. So it varies from person to person and also according to indication.
The best way to know is to try and see. You can keep pain killers with you. If you feel pain that is not tolerable, then stop the episode and take some painkiller.
Remember that as you are a virgin, the first few sexual episodes may be normally painful irrespective of the
hysterectomy as they involve tearing of the
hymen and it takes time for the vagina to become roomy which occurs after repeated penetration only.
So I suggest that you may try it after discussing with your partner and go slowly. If you succeed then it will go a long way in keeping your relationship healthy.
Hope this was helpful.
Feel free to ask any further queries and I will be happy to help.
Thanks for using HCM.
Have a good day.
