Will Toenail Grow Back After Its Removal For Biopsy?
I am being checked with toenail melanoma next Monday. My Doctor thinks I may have it. I am experiencing some numbness in my toe. The color is dark brown and goes up the length of my toenail. It has not gotten larger or smaller since I noticed it two months ago. What do you think? Also do they have to remove the toe nail for the biopsy and will it grow back if they do?
Let you doctor take nail and nail bed tissue for biopsy to confirm the diagnosis of melanoma. Do not worry, your toenail will regrow in a normal way.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
