Hi treantal has its role in helping blood supply. It doesn't clear the clot but help in moving blood cells in small vessels and in damaged vessels so that the blood won't be stagnant. So the total time the drug to be given and whether he improve with drug is difficult to predict. Your treating doctor can better answer your question based on the examination.
