Will Urinary Incontinence That Has Occurred After A Colonoscopy Go Away On Its Own?

I had a colonoscopy on a Tuesday and know seem to be wetting the bed at night. I was reported with a clean colonoscopy and no issues, I have no pain/ discomfort, discolored urine etc. I had high anxiety before the procedure but it is over now. It seems to be getting better ( it is day 2 after). Is this common and will it go away? Embarrassing

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

I do not think that the recent colonoscopy is related to your urinary incontinence. I suggest you see your doctor soon for a proper physical examination and guidance. There are many causes of incontinence.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
